The Elders, along with the Property and Finance Committee, are excited to announce The Community Fund.

The Community Fund will be designated to enhance the places where we gather in community within the walls of Southwest Community Church as well as in the local community outside of the church.

Phase I: Community Spaces Within SCC

We’d like to kick-off the Community Fund by raising money dedicated to enhancing the spaces and places where community happens here at SCC.

Goal: $125,000 by the end of October

These initial funds will go toward the following projects:

Welcome Center Furniture: $30,000

Student & Young Adult Center Renovation (flooring, paint, and furniture): $40,000

Community Group Rooms (carpet and paint): $20,000

New Biblical Counseling Rooms (carpet, paint, furniture, and resources): $12,000

Miscellaneous Small Projects (e.g., entryway tile, door/window repair): $23,000

Phase II: Out in the Local Community

We envision a day in the future where this same fund will be used for larger community outreach projects—outside of our walls. Once the $125,000 goal is met for internal projects, your one-time or recurring gifts to the Community Fund will support projects for gathering places in the local community. Projects like the following:

  • Biblical Counseling Center
  • Community Coffee Shop
  • Dog Park
God Loves a Cheerful Giver

Please prayerfully consider how you can support this exciting project. Every bit helps, but please note that this is an OVER-and-ABOVE giving opportunity. If you are able to give over and above your normal giving to Southwest, please do. But do not reduce your normal ongoing giving to give to this fund. Thank you for your support!
