Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal is to grow in prayer together as we seek our great God, for the month of February.
Biblical Encouragement
Verse for today: When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
James 4:3
Take some time, seek the Lord, and ask Him if there are any areas where you are going to Him in prayer with wrong motives. As He guides you, take those areas before Him, and ask Him to place within you a desire to follow His will and His way, above all else.
Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church. Many of these will stay here for the month. Others will likely be added. Pick one or two to pray for each day or, pray for them all if you have the time!
- Pray for our church family, that older and younger generations would connect and grow together through discipleship relationships.
- Pray for our time next Sunday as we celebrate Baptisms, and welcome new members to our church family.
- Pray for Alternatives Pregnancy Center as they stand for Life. Pray that we can be an encouragement and support to Alternatives through our time and resources. Pray specifically that our church will raise enough money ($35-40,000) to provide an ultra-sound machine.
- Pray for the research and development of plans to open an early childhood center. Pray for meetings happening this month that have potential to accelerate this effort.
- Pray for the Lord to guide the team that will search for a new College Pastor. Ask God to lead the search team to the right man who will be used by God to reach college students in our area.
- New: Pray for a new opportunity that has arisen to potentially partner with another pro-life organization – not far from church. Pray for those who will be researching this opportunity.
Personal
- Continue to pray for that friend or family member that you identified yesterday, as someone you want to pray for during this month.
- New: Consider where you live or work. Pray specifically for your neighbors and/or your co-workers. Ask the Lord to use you in the days ahead to show & share the Love of Christ.
