2025 Zambia Short Term Trip Overview

The team will be traveling to The Village of Hope, which is located in “the bush,”  about 70km north of Lusaka. The Village of Hope originally started as an orphanage for double AIDS orphans (both parents died from AIDS) and has expanded over the years to include a preK-12th grade Christian school, a farm, a doctor’s office, and several roadside businesses.

The team will spend time doing the following:

  • Engaging with the children who live at the Village and sharing Jesus with them daily
  • Working with groups of students in the school
  • Helping with business efficiency
  • Repairing machinery and/or any other building repairs that are needed
  • Helping lead the community church service on Sunday

We are very excited to see what the Lord has in store for our team and how He will use us. You can support us by praying for our safety, our health, for the children of the orphanage and school to be open to hearing and advancing the Gospel, that heart and minds would be open to work with us in the school, and that our team is unified and lifts high the name of Jesus along the entire trip. Please pray for us daily. We certainly will need them.

2025 Kenya Short Term Trip Overview

The team will be working to continue the progress of the gospel according to Jesus’ Great Commission by strengthening and encouraging the individuals and churches that we’ve visited in the past, as well as building new relationships with churches and ministry leaders there.

The focus will be on evangelism, discipleship, leadership development and equipping the churches to disciple individuals within their own local congregations in order to reach deeper into their communities and into those places and countries that have yet to hear of the good news.  The men going will gain a greater understanding of the Great Commission and the role and purpose of the church, and everyone will be given many opportunities to preach, teach, and train up others as we all gain wisdom and experience toward future mission opportunities, both locally and globally.

Please pray that we can be effective with our time at each church and ministry that we visit, for unity in our team and with the churches in Kenya, for boldness and courage to preach God’s word effectively, for clarity and discernment in our teaching and awareness of specific cultural needs and differences, and that the relationships formed will help establish future ministry work.
