Journey of Prayer

By February 27, 2026No Comments

Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal is to grow in prayer together as we seek our great God, for the month of February. We are almost to the end of our challenge!

Biblical Encouragement
Verse for today: …but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

God fully sees and deeply loves us. There is nothing about who we are that is surprising to God, and nothing disqualifies us from His grace. Let that reality set in and meditate on the truth that we do not have to earn God’s love. His love was proven for us at the cross.

Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church.

  • Ecclesiastes is a challenging book. Continue praying for this new series at church and for Pastor Arnie has he prepares this week.
  • Think of someone at church that you know or have seen. Pray for them and, if possible, text or email them and let them know you have remembered them in prayer.
  • Pray for our leaders as they consider the potential early childhood center. Pray for clarity on the future direction.
  • Pray 1 Peter 3:8 for our church: Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Pray that SCC will be marked by our unity.

Personal

  • Press into praying for that friend or family member that you identified as someone you want to pray for during this month.
    • If they are a non-believer:2 Cor 4: 4 – Pray that God would remove Satan’s blinding influence.
    • If they know Christ:Eph 3: 16-19 – Pray that they will know and understand the love of God in new and fresh ways.
    • Keep seeking the Lord on what HE would have you to do in the coming days with your prayer life. What steps would He have you to take to draw consistently draw closer to the Lord through prayer?
