Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal is to grow in prayer together as we seek our great God, for the month of February.
Biblical Encouragement
Verse for today: Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7
Consider the reality that The Lord is Near. He is not a God who is distant or far off. He is near to us. Because of His presence in our lives, we do not need to be anxious. Whatever comes our way, God is with us. Praise the Lord!
Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church. Many of these will stay here for the month. Others will likely be added. Pick one or two to pray for each day or, pray for them all if you have the time!
- Pray for our time of Worship on Sunday. Pray for Pastor Arnie as He prepares to share from God’s Word on our church core value, of Uncommon Community. Pray for those publicly declaring their faith through baptism, and for new members being welcomed to our church family.
- Pray for the Lord to guide the team that will search for a new College Pastor. Ask God to lead the search team to the right man who will be used by God to reach college students in our area.
- With just a couple days left, pray specifically that our church will raise enough money ($35-40,000) to provide an ultra-sound machine to Alternatives Pregnancy Center.
Personal
- Ask the Lord to give you the discipline and desire to be persistent in prayer.
- Spend some time being still (Psalm 46:10). As the Lord speaks to your heart, respond in prayer back to Him.
