Journey of Prayer

Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal is to grow in prayer together as we seek our great God, for the month of February.

In-person Prayer Opportunity: the SCC staff prays together every Wednesday at 9am in the prayer room, off the Worship Center. We’d love to have you join us this morning or any Wednesday in the future!

Biblical Encouragement
Verse for today: The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he. Deuteronomy 32:4

Our God is amazing. He is perfectly just, faithful, and unchanging (a rock). We as humans regularly fail but God’s character and judgments are consistently righteous and trustworthy. Give Him praise!

Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church.

  • Pray for Youth Sunday this coming weekend. Pray for Scott Riley, our Student Ministry Director, as he shares from God’s Word.
  • Continue to pray for a Medical Director for the new pro-life organization.
  • Give thanks to the Lord for the growing number of people attending English classes on Wednesday nights. Pray good relationships to be built with all of them, and that they would attend the social events and Bible studies that are planned for them in the future.

Personal

  • Ask the Lord to give you the discipline and desire to be persistent in prayer.
  • Pray for our time of worship & prayer tonight at ONE THING. Pray that, as a church family, we will all grow together in prayer and that prayer will be a way of life for us!
  • Consider again: Is there one big request you have to put before the Lord? What would you want to see God do that seems almost impossible? Lay that before the Lord ask Him to move.
