Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal for this last month was to grow in prayer together. Hopefully that has been true for you. This the final day of our challenge! If you have made it to this point, well done!
Biblical Encouragement
Verse for today: I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18: 1,2
What an amazing passage! We are reminded that God is our strength, our rock, and our fortress, a safe place that cannot be shaken. Whatever we face, whatever comes our way, we are not standing on fragile ground. We are held steady and protected by the One who is strong, faithful, and unmovable. Praise the Lord!
Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church.
- Pray for our church family as we begin this series on Ecclesiastes. Pray that we all will have hearts ready to hear what God has for us.
- Pray for Pastor Arnie as he studies and guides us through this series. Pray that God will speak to us through him.
- Pray for our leaders as they meet and consider the Early Childhood Center opportunity.
- Pray 1 Peter 3:8 for our church: Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Pray that SCC will be marked by our unity
Personal
- Our prayer challenge wraps up today. What would God have you to do in the coming days with your prayer life. What steps could you to take to draw closer to the Lord through prayer? Ask God to show you what is next for you in prayer.
- Spend some time thinking, and perhaps writing out, a prayer challenge for yourself and/or your family – for the days ahead.
- Give the Lord praise for allowing us to freely go before Him in prayer.
- Ask God to give you the discipline & desire to be persistent in prayer – in the days ahead.
Thanks for joining us in Prayer this month.
To God be the Glory,
Dave & Julie
