Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal is to grow in prayer together as we seek our great God, for the month of February.
Biblical Encouragement
Verse for today: For this good news—that God has prepared this rest—has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God. Hebrews 4:2
Pray that as we hear God’s Word today, that we will receive what He has for us with faith. The Word of God is not enough on its own, but rather, as the Word is proclaimed it must be received with faith. Without faith, even the greatest promises offer no benefit.
Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church.
- Pray Matt Jones as He shares from God’s Word today. Ask the Lord to ready our hearts and to speak through Matt, for His glory.
- Pray for those that will come to our services today for the first time will feel loved by God and by our church family.
- Thank the Lord for a large group participating in Discover Southwest class this afternoon. Pray for an encouraging time and for good connections to be made.
Personal
- Pray for your week ahead. Ask God to use you for His glory as you live for Him this week.
- Think of someone at church that you have met (or have seen) recently and pray for them. If you see them today, let them know that you prayed for them.
- Read Philippians 2:3-4 and meditate on the humility that Jesus modeled for us. Pray that God will give you that kind of humility and that He will be glorified in all that you do.
