Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal is to grow in prayer together as we seek our great God, for the month of February.
Biblical Encouragement
Verse for today: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
No matter our situation, God’s grace is always within reach. When we honestly confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us completely and cleanse us, giving us a fresh start and a restored heart. Praise God for the forgiveness of sins available to us, through Jesus.
Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church.
- Pray for our church family, that older and younger generations would connect and grow together through discipleship relationships.
- Pray for the upcoming series on Ecclesiastes and for Pastor Arnie has he prepares this week.
- Pray for the Lord to guide the team that will search for a new College Pastor. Ask God to lead the search team to the right man who will be used by God to reach college students in our area.
Personal
- From 1 John 1:9 above, ask the Lord to reveal areas of sin in your life. Confess those areas of sin to him, acknowledge them and ask for His promised forgiveness.
- Consider your prayer habits and ask the Lord to guide you as you seek to be persistent in prayer. How would He have you to change and grow in this area? As He guides your thoughts, give those back to Him and ask for strength and discipline to do what He is asking you to do.
- Continue to pray for your neighborhood, school, and/or your workplace. Ask God to begin to soften hearts in those areas where you spend most of your time.
