Jesus modeled persistent prayer in every season of life, showing us that prayer isn’t optional — it’s essential. Yet staying faithful can be hard in the middle of busy days, lingering doubts, and seasons of waiting.

Join us throughout February as we seek the Lord together. Check back daily for a short prayer, meditation, or devotional.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.”
Jesus, Matthew 7:7–8

Journey of Prayer

By Prayer No Comments

Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal is to grow in prayer together as we seek our great God, for the month of February.

Biblical Encouragement

Verse for today: Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act. Psalm 37:5

Commit yourself fresh to the Lord. Acknowledge His Sovereignty in your life and declare your willingness to trust Him – no matter what comes your way. Thank God for being a God who we can count on!

Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church. Many of these will stay here for the month. Others will likely be added. Pick one or two to pray for each day or, pray for them all if you have the time!

  • Pray for our church family, that older and younger generations would connect and grow together through discipleship relationships.
  • Pray for our time next Sunday as we celebrate Baptisms, and welcome new members to our church family.
  • Pray for Alternatives Pregnancy Center as they stand for Life. Pray that we can be an encouragement and support to Alternatives through our time and resources. Pray specifically that our church will raise enough money ($35-40,000) to provide an ultra-sound machine.
  • Pray for the research and development of plans to open an early childhood center. Pray for meetings happening this month that have potential to accelerate this effort.
  • New: Pray for the Lord to guide the team that will search for a new College Pastor. Ask God to lead the search team to the right man who will be used by God to reach college students in our area.

Personal

  • Continue to pray for that friend or family member that you identified yesterday, as someone you want to pray for during this month.
  • Is there one big request have to put before the Lord? What would you want to see God do that seems almost impossible? Lay that before the Lord ask Him to move.

Personal

  • Think of a friend, or someone in your family, or someone at church that you would like to pray for daily during this month. Write out how you would like to pray and give that person to the Lord.
  • Consider your prayer habits and ask the Lord to guide you as you seek to be persistent in prayer. How would He have you to change and grow in this area? As He guides your thoughts, give those back to Him and ask for strength and discipline to do what He is asking you to do.
