Jesus modeled persistent prayer in every season of life, showing us that prayer isn’t optional — it’s essential. Yet staying faithful can be hard in the middle of busy days, lingering doubts, and seasons of waiting.

Join us throughout February as we seek the Lord together. Check back daily for a short prayer, meditation, or devotional.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.”
Jesus, Matthew 7:7–8

Journey of Prayer

By Prayer

Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal is to grow in prayer together as we seek our great God, for the month of February.

Biblical Encouragement
Verse for today: The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. Psalm 103:8

What an amazing God we serve. There is so much to praise Him about! Reflect on this verse, consider who our great God is, and give Him thanks and praise!

Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church.

  • Continue to pray for Matt Jones as He prepares to share from God’s Word tomorrow. Ask the Lord to ready our hearts and to speak through Matt, for His glory.
  • Pray for the Lord to provide a Medical Director for the Pro-life organization with which we have been exploring partnership.
  • Pray for the Lord to guide the team that will search for a new College Pastor. Ask God to lead the search team to the right man who will be used by God to reach college students in our area.

Personal

  • You are half-way through the prayer challenge. Give the Lord thanks for allowing you to persevere and ask Him to help you push forward for the rest of February and beyond.
  • Consider taking a prayer walk, by yourself or with a friend or family member. As you walk, lift up the area in which you are walking, and just spend time talking to the Lord.

If you would like to receive the daily Journey of Prayer by email, please send “Prayer Challenge” to prayer@southwestcommunity.church.
