Journey of Prayer

Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal is to grow in prayer together as we seek our great God, for the month of February.

In-person Prayer Opportunity: the SCC staff prays together every Wednesday at 9am in the prayer room, off the Worship Center. We’d love to have you join us this morning or any Wednesday in the future!

Biblical Encouragement
Verses for today: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Cor 1:3-4

Give thanks to the Lord for being the “God of all comfort”. He is with us and walks with us when we go through challenging and difficult times. As we experience His comfort, we can share that same kind of comfort with others!

Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church.

  • The pro-life organization, that we are talking with about future partnership, is in need of a Medical Director. This person needs to be an N.P., D.O., or M.D., and would only be needed a few hours weekly to read ultrasounds. The work can also be done remotely. Would you pray for this urgent need?
  • A meeting and inspection for the potential early childhood center went well yesterday. Pray for another meeting today. Ask God to make His will clear.
  • Pray for a group from church going through Biblical Counseling training this week. Pray that they will grow in their ability to use God’s Word in helping others with the life challenges they face.

Personal

  • Ask the Lord to give you the discipline and desire to be persistent in prayer.
  • From last week: Is there one big request you have to put before the Lord? What would you want to see God do that seems almost impossible? Lay that before the Lord ask Him to move.
