Thank you for being willing to go on a Journey of Prayer with us. Our goal is to grow in prayer together as we seek our great God, for the month of February.
Biblical Encouragement
Verse for today: Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand. Proverbs 19:21
Praise the Lord today for being sovereign over all. He is in complete control and He will accomplish all that He has planned. Offer your own plans and desires to the Lord but also let Him know that you are always willing to submit to His will for your life, even if that differs from your plans.
Prayers for the Church
Note: These are current and/or ongoing ways to pray for the church.
- We’ve been praying this month that God would provide funds for a new ultrasound machine at Alternatives Pregnancy Center. It’s time now to Praise the Lord! He provided exceedingly more than we expected! (Eph 3:20-1) A total of $55,000 was raised and we give thanks to the Lord.
- Praise the Lord that 31 people participated in our Discover Southwest class yesterday. Pray for these who are new to SCC. Pray that they will get connected into the life of the church and will use their gifts for God’s glory.
- Pray for our church family, that older and younger generations would connect and grow together through discipleship relationships.
Personal
- Keep praying for that friend or family member that you have chosen to pray for during this month.
- If they are a non-believer – Pray that God would open their hearts, as He did in Acts 16:14 for Lydia, to hear the Gospel.
- If they know Christ, pray that their heart, and yours would grow in awe of God, and hunger for His Word. (Eph 1: 17-19)
- As time goes on, it’s challenging to persist in prayer. Ask the Lord to give you the discipline and desire to keep pushing forward in prayer.
